Nieves Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Start2Play mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: You can create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or Apple. Depending on the method you choose, we collect your name, email address, and (where provided) profile photo.

Content You Submit: When you scan a game, we collect the photo or image you capture. When you use AI guides or the dispute resolver, we collect the questions, descriptions, and text you enter so we can generate a response.

Game Data: If you use features that let you log plays or track scores, we collect that information (such as game names, scores, players, and dates). Some of these features may not be available in all versions of the App.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including features accessed and scan activity.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic/crash data for troubleshooting and to improve the App.

3. AI-Powered Features and OpenAI

Several features of the App are powered by artificial intelligence services provided by OpenAI. To generate results, content you submit — including photos of game boxes you scan and the text of rules questions or dispute descriptions you enter — is transmitted to OpenAI for processing.

We do not authorize this content to be used to train third-party AI models, and we transmit only what is reasonably necessary to provide the feature you requested. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete; you should always consult official rulebooks where authoritative rules are required.

Our service providers, including Firebase, RevenueCat, and OpenAI, may store and process your information on servers located outside your country or region of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws than those in your country. We take steps intended to ensure your information remains protected in accordance with this Policy wherever it is processed.

6. Data Sharing and Visibility to Other Users

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal data with third parties except with the service providers described above, as needed to operate the App, or as required by law.

If and when the App offers social, leaderboard, or multiplayer features, certain information — such as your username, rankings, scores, and game statistics — may be visible to other users. You control what you choose to share through those features.

7. Subscription & Payments

Start2Play Pro costs $3.99 per month with automatic renewal. Payment processing occurs through the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not collect or store your full payment-card information.

8. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your account information and associated data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@nieves.studio from the email address associated with your account.

Upon a verified request, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Some information may remain in routine backups for a limited time before being overwritten.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and other jurisdictions may have additional rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.

10. Children's Privacy

Start2Play is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post the revised Policy within the App and/or on our website. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
